I'm Sam. I was hit by a car and my owners weren't able to afford to get me fixed up, so the SPCA took me in.
I've had hip surgery and I'm still getting used to walking on that leg again, but I'm getting better. I've been hanging out with the staff at the shelter until my forever home comes along.

February 20, 2008 was a big day for me. The high temperature was only 36 degrees that day, and I was homeless. That was until the officer from the SPCA rescued me, and took me to their shelter, where they named me Teddy. Since then, I've been kept warm and fed and the humans here try to keep me happy, but it's tough being in a kennel with all these other dogs. I don't really like other dogs, so it's not always easy for me.
Now I'm just waiting for my next big day - the day a special family takes me to my forever home.
