Christmas Comes Early for Shelter Pets

Christmas has come early for the dogs and cats of the Delaware SPCA thanks to the community response at "Stuff the Van" on Sunday, December 4.

Volunteers were on hand at three area Concord Pet Foods and Supplies stores - Rehoboth, Middletown, and Wilmington - to collected donated items from the public during the Midnight Madness sale.  Our van and other vehicles were filled with donations of pet food, toys, treats, beds, blankets, collars and other much needed supplies.

We are most grateful for the generosity of the community for making sure the animals would not be forgotten this holiday season.  Any items that cannot be used for shelter animals will be used for the Delaware SPCA pet food bank, assisting struggling families to care for their pets.

If you could not make the sale and would like to donate an item(s) from our wish list for the animals, donations can be dropped off at either shelter location, Georgetown or Stanton, during regular business hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5; Tuesday and Thursday from 10-7; and Saturday 10-4 or donate online at www.delspca.org.

The Delaware SPCA is a nonprofit organization that receives no state or county funding and is not associated with any other SPCAs or national organizations. We depend on local donations. For more information, visit www.delspca.org.
