Vaccinating Your Pet
It is very important to discuss with your veterinarian a vaccination protocol that’s right for your dog. Factors that should be examined include age, medical history, environment, travel habits and lifestyle. Most vets highly recommend administering core vaccines to healthy dogs; Canine Parvovirus, distemper, canine hepatitis and rabies vaccines are considered core vaccines. Rabies vaccinations are required by law in the state of Delaware for cats and dogs over 6 months of age. You can also have your pet vaccinated at the Delaware SPCA’s Wellness Clinic or monthly Vaccine Clinic.
