Meet Willow

In July of 2008 a five month old stray lab puppy came to the Stanton shelter of the Delaware SPCA. She had open wounds and sores covering her back and torso. The consensus was that the wounds were acid burns.

The staff named her Willow. She spent the next month with the office staff while being treated for her burns. As the time passed and her energy returned, she amazed the staff and visitors with her amazingly sweet personality.

In early August her wounds had healed and her hair was just starting to grow back - it was time to place her for adoption.

The day Willow left was filled with mixed emotions for the staff. Everyone at the shelter will miss her, but the important thing for her is that she found her forever home.
