Zulu, a 3 year old male shepherd mix dog, was signed over to the Delaware SPCA in mid October when the owner was unable to afford his care. He is a sweet boy and is good with dogs and children (no cats!).

Zulu came to our Stanton shelter in mid-November showing signs of a leg injury. An exam showed Zulu was suffering from a torn ACL (anterior cruiciate ligament) which is one of the ligaments of the knee joint. The condition is very painful and if left untreated leads can lead to loss of joint function.

On November 25th, thanks to the generosity of people like you, Zulu received surgery at Crest View Animal Clinic to repair his leg. The surgery went very well, and Zulu is now resting at the SPCA shelter.

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of members of the public like yourself, Zulu was adopted into his loving new home January 29, 2009.
