The Delaware SPCA Pet Food Pantry was created to keep pets with their families by offering food assistance. The only requirement is a need for assistance in providing food for a pet. The pantry is operated on the honor system; recipients are not required to show proof of income to determine eligibility. Donation drop off and distribution takes place at our animal shelter on Route 7 in Newark during our normal shelter hours.
We rely on donations from individuals and businesses within our community to stock the Pet Food Pantry. We ask that items donated for the pantry be new and unused, and that food containers be unopened. For more ways to contribute to our lifesaving mission, check out our Wish List!
How Can You Help Local Pet Owners and Their Animals in Need?
The Delaware SPCA accepts donations of new, unopened, bagged or canned food, cat litter, and other supplies. Please bring donations to our shelter during regular business hours. As we are open only to those with appointments, you will be met at the door for your items.
